The Northern Circuit is the most captivating safari zone in Tanzania. Besides having top wildlife destinations, this safari circuit is close to Kilimanjaro International Airport. This tour takes you to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Zanzibar. This tour starts in Arusha and ends in Zanzibar.

Day 1: Arrival Day

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet our guide after clearing the customs. After greetings, you transfer to the accommodation in Arusha. The accommodation sits on the slopes of Mount Meru. Enjoy panoramic views of this second-highest peak. A mouthwatering dinner will be waiting for you.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Wake up early in the morning and get things ready. The guide will meet you at 8:00 a.m. and drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is a two-hour drive from Arusha. After clearing up with the customs, you will enter the wilderness to search for wildlife. The ecosystem of Tarangire is superb with vast plains, woodlands, and lush forests.

Enjoy the views of big elephant herds, wildebeest, buffalos, zebras, antelopes, lions, and African wild dogs. You will encounter beautiful birds along the banks of the life-giving Tarangire River. Dinner and overnight will be in Tarangire.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we begin the journey to Lake Manyara. It takes about 1:30 hours. Upon arrival, you will explore the bush of Lake Manyara. This Park is the only home to the tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is also home to the pink flamingos on its shoreline.

You will spend a whole day discovering the natural wonders of Lake Manyara. You can walk to a natural hot spring where you can boil an egg. There is an option to visit Mto wa Mbu village. Afterward, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Today, we start the journey to the Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, we drive through the high-lying way through Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend to the central Serengeti through the Naabi Hills gate.

Upon arrival, we eat lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive. Explore the central part until evening. You may see wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, elephants, antelopes, lions, leopards, and many more.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

You can begin the day with a morning game drive. Animals are active in the morning. A friendly wake-up call will get you up at 5:30 a.m. to do all the preps. Return to the camp for breakfast. You can also start the day with a hot air balloon safari. Soar above the savannah plains for an hour. Enjoy a champagne breakfast after landing successfully.

After breakfast, we go for a full-day game drive across the vastness of Serengeti. We drive into the deep forests in the north. We will constantly see animals like elephants, buffalos, zebras, antelopes, lions, wildebeests, and many more.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we explore the central Serengeti en route to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is a one-of-a-kind destination in northern Tanzania. It boasts a large population of wildlife, including the Big Five animals.

You may see wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, buffalos, impalas, and many more. You may see birds, which are quite spectacular. You may also visit the Olduvai Gorge – the cradle of mankind. Other features to discover are Lake Magadi, Empakai Craters, and Lerai Forest.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, we explored the crater once more time. You may be lucky to see the Big Five animals. You will also see other animals that you might have missed. After lunch, we start the journey to the airport to catch up for your flight to Zanzibar.

After you arrive at Amani Karume International Airport, you will be met by our team. You will be transferred to a hotel.  Enjoy a late beach stay, eat dinner, and sleep overnight.

Day 8-9: Relaxation in Zanzibar

You have two days to relax in Zanzibar after game drives in the Northern Circuit.

Zanzibar is a stunning archipelago on the Indian Ocean coast. It is home to world-class beaches and historical sites like the Stone Town, Changuu Island, and others. Here are some activities you may be interested in doing in Zanzibar during your two-day stay:

Day 10: Departure
