Details of the program
Day 1: Arrival Day and transfer to Arusha
Soon after your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. You can discuss some optional activities with your guide or just relax at your hotel. After a brief, you can enjoy the night.
Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp
We depart from your lodge in Arusha to Londorossi Gate. We register with park officials. We then drive to the Lemosho trailhead for one hour. We eat lunch and then start our hike through the rainforest until we reach the Forest Camp.
Day 3: Forest Camp – Shira Camp 1
After breakfast, we ascend through the hills, and streams, and hit the Shira Ridge. We then hike down to Shira Camp 1. From this point, you will view the Kibo plateau.
Day 4: Shira Camp 1 – Shira 2 Camp – Moir Hut
After breakfast, we explore the Shira plateau for a full day. We walk the east and pass the glaciated peak of Kibo. We rest a little bit at Shira Camp 2 before hiking to the Moir Hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Moir Hut to Barranco Camp
After breakfast, we continue hiking in the east direction and pass the junction to the peak of Kibo. We then hike to the southeast towards the Lava Tower (Shark Tooth) and come across the Arrow Glacier (16,000ft). We come to Barranco Hut (13,000ft) where you will rest, dine, and sleep overnight.
Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp, then to Barafu Camp
After breakfast, we hike from Barranco through a steep ridge past Barranco Wall and reach the Karanga Valley. We then leave Karanga and pass the junction that joins with the Mweka Trail. You will then camp, rest, have an early dinner, and sleep early in preparation for the summit attempt.
Day 7: Barafu Camp to Summit, then to Mweka Hut
We will start the hike at around 01:30 a.m. We then hike to the northwest and ascend towards Stella Point. We rest at Stella Point and then proceed with the hike to the summit. Congratulations! You are now standing on Africa’s highest peak. You enjoy the views before we start to descend. We will stop at Barafu Camp for a rest and lunch, and then continue to Mweka Camp. At Mweka Camp, you will enjoy your last dinner on the mountain and overnight sleep.
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Arusha
After breakfast, we finish up the last part of the descent. You will receive your certificates for hiking Africa’s highest peak. We will then hike for an hour to Mweka Village. Our driver will take you to your hotel in Arusha. Take time to relax your body before continuing with the next part of your adventure.
Day 9: A full day in Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we depart from Arusha to Tarangire. Tarangire National Park is a 2:30-hour drive from Arusha. The journey is filled with eye-catching views. Upon arriving, we head to the camp for lunch. We then get on the jeep to explore the wilderness in the afternoon. We will see many wild animals such as elephants, buffalos, zebras, lions, gazelles, giraffes, and many more. We will also see the Tarangire River and old baobab trees. We will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: A full day in Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara. Here, we enjoy the views of pink flamingos on the shores of this alkaline lake. We continue our drive to search for the tree-climbing lions, colobus monkeys, and other animals.
Day 11: Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we take a 5-hour drive to Serengeti National Park, which is 217 kilometers away from Serengeti National Park. After arriving in the Serengeti, we head to the camp for lunch. Later on, we set off for an evening game drive.
Day 12: A full day at Serengeti National Park
We then move to other regions for other extended activities and then come back to the lodge for lunch and spend the night.
Day 13: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
We will have breakfast first, then drive through the vast plains of Serengeti for a morning game, and after that, we drive to Ngorongoro Crater. In this splendid crater, we explore diverse wildlife, including wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, lions, antelopes, zebras, and many others. In the late afternoon, we start the journey to Arusha, where you relax and enjoy a night at your lodge.
Day 14: Departure
Our guide will pick you up from your lodge to catch up with your scheduled flight home. This is the end of the program and we are thrilled to be part of your adventure.

This itinerary includes the most captivating attractions in the Northern Circuit. You will start with the most challenging part and finish with the relaxing part. You will hike Mt. Kilimanjaro for seven days through the scenic and less-crowded Lemosho route and spend five days exploring the top-notch wildlife sanctuaries, such as Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater.
